Theodore had a birthday!

A Safari Animal First Birthday Party.  Grandma Hamman (my mom), EmaLee, Porter and Molly came and spent the weekend with us.  We had a great time playing in the water at Bear Lake and decorating cupcakes (hahaha-that was stressful).  Theodore’s birthday was on Sunday, so after church and a quick nap for the birthday boy, we had a great party.  There is something about a one year old birthday party that is only wonderful if you are related to the kid.  That said, Theodore’s party was wonderful.  For a while we have been working on blowing, but when it came to the real candle, Theodore wanted to hold it instead of blow it out.  He loved eating the cake.  Theo didn’t really get the concept of opening presents, but he liked what he got inside.  Theodore scooted away with so much loot.  Six new outfits, blocks, a train, a dinosaur walker, camp chair, bike, stuffed animals, and a lounge chair.  The best part of his day was the attention.  He had an audience to perform for.  My dad, Grandma, Jim, and Willie came over Sunday morning.  Paul’s grandpa Juel came too.  It was so much fun to celebrate Theodore’s first birthday with family!
