The First Hockey Game

While in Washington we went to a hockey game.  It was Theo’s first semi-professional sporting event.  I don’t think he knew what to think at first, but after a few buzzers went off he had a great time.  People watching is my favorite part of the game.  There are very interesting people at hockey games.

Fishing

After Sara’s Homecoming, we headed over to Paul’s parents in Washington to go salmon fishing.  We took Sara with us because she didn’t have anything else to do.

Juel, Steven and Paul had a great day sitting on the boat.  They left at 4:30 am, sat on the boat all day and finally caught the first salmon at 4:30 pm.  That is dedication.  If I had gone I would have been out of there at 10.  (Instead Sara and I went shopping all day. Thanks for watching Theo, Peggy!)  If I remember the story correctly, Steven saw the line on the first one and ran across the boat to reel it in and within a few minutes the second line was going and Paul let Juel have that one.  Paul got the last one that was pretty small, but tasted just fine.

So proud of the fish.

The Day My Sister Came Home

Our little family headed to Twin Falls for the homecoming of my little sister on September 22.  Her flight landed at 6:00 pm.  I didn’t sleep for two nights before she got home because I was so excited to see her!

It was a wonderful and happy occasion.  I was so happy to see her and hear all about her mission in Argentina.  Hermana Hamman was the best missionary ever.  She reported the next day.  Can you imagine trying to speak English after speaking Spanish for so long?  She did great though.  She talked about being obedient and how that blesses your life.  So glad she is home!
