A long awaited journey

This is it! The time has finally come. For what? You might be wondering. Well, let me tell you. We are going to Chicago! Paul has an internship for the summer at a company called Hoogwegt (Hogwart's) doing data analysis and data entry. We found out Thursday afternoon and life since then has been a little crazy. The internship isn't in Chicago city limits. It is north of Chicago about 40 miles in a suburb called Libertyville. This is a relief because I don't know if I could live IN Chicago.

In preparation to leave tomorrow, we have been packing boxes and bags. Our lease ends the end of July and because we won't be here then, we are doing the dirty work now. I am always amazed at how much stuff we have! It is good that we are always moving so I can keep in check with what we have. However, since packing, I haven't been amazed to find that lost treasure, so I guess I don't have too much. We are putting our stuff in a storage unit and taking clothing, a little bit of entertainment, and kitchen supplies with us. We rented a studio apartment in Mundelein for the summer.

We are leaving town tomorrow and making a trip of it. We will drive to Twin Falls, then across Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, to Nauvoo, and then to Chicago. In Rawlins, Wyoming there is the Old State Penetentry that I have wanted Paul to check out. It is freaky and will make you pee your pants. As for the other states, we don't know what there is but will stop to see anything exciting. Any suggestions will be helpful! We are excited for this summer and the adventures ahead of us! We'll keep you posted.

Summer, Here we come

The semester is OVER!!!! I am sure that everyone feels the simple joy that comes with the last final. Both Paul and I finished on Friday. I was giddy all day. Today was commencement so we went to celebrate Paul's brother graduating. After that, we had a BBQ party with Peggy, Steven, and friends. It has been a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy the nice weather. I think spring/early summer is here to stay. Now on to our summer plans.... Whatever they may be!

Homework

There is some homework that I can't stand to do i.e. writing papers, reading, studying. But then there is homework that I really enjoy and would rather do it than say laundry! The first picture is a file system that I made for my personal finance class. All of my papers are neatly organized and everything has a place. I used my label maker to make the labels (on a Saturday night). I know, maybe I am a little bit weird, but I love being organized and this system is great. If you want an outline of my files let me know.

This is another project that I would rather do over other types of homework. I made this for a final presentation on Friday. It is for the Young Children and Family Programs of the Palouse. They have some great programs for people and it is free! We are representing the organization and telling our class all about YCFP. It is alright if you think the display board looks absolutely amazing because I think it looks totally awesome. It is colorful, not too many words, there are pictures, and it is organized; everything fits the criteria.

Now on to other homework assignments that aren't as exciting as this....

Tap Dance Performance

I am excited to share with all of you my debut tap dance experience. I am the fourth person in from the left. Enjoy! (I tried to delete the first twenty seconds, but don't know how. Just wait, and it will come.)
