Theodore had so much fun swinging in the airplane at Grandpa and Grandma Hamman’s house. Molly was a good sport and pushed him for a long time!

My Best Friend’s Wedding
Hehehe. It was nothing like the movie. A beautiful sealing in the temple and then a peaceful dinner at the CSI Rose Garden. If I were getting married again (to Paul of course) I would do it just like Rachel.
Rachel called me up in June semi announcing her upcoming marriage. I was completely ecstatic! Not only did she just move an hour and a half away from me, she wanted me to go dress shopping with her. Heck yes! We met up in Idaho Falls and had a fun day of dress shopping. I was so excited for her to get married! They are a wonderful couple and will have a very happy eternity!

The Internet
The other night Paul and I were talking about how “the internet” was so cool a few years ago and we could spend so much time looking around on it. Now we open the computer, check email, facebook, and the weather and we are done. (I like pinterest too!) It probably has something to do with the speed and not waiting for dial-up. Also, that we are not trying to avoid homework anymore. Then we instantly remembered why the internet is so great.
Homestar Runner and Strong Bad Emails. Oh, and Teen Girl Squad.
Thank you internet.

One year older…
Theodore’s been here for a whole year. We’ve been parents for a whole year. Has it gone by fast? Yes and no. Yes because I can’t believe he is already one. Where did the time go? He was just a blob of baby last week right? And no because we did the same thing every day for months on end. You know the eating, sleeping, pooping, changing diapers, repeat. And now he can pull up on things and feed himself and oh, he’s so cute. So without further ado, this is what Theodore is all about at one year old:
17 lbs 10 oz
27 ½ inches length
17 ½ inches head circumference
He wears 6-9/12 month clothing.
Theo can pull up on things, climb and does a sit-crawl maneuver.
He can say “Drop.” This involves an object, usually food, falling from his hand onto the floor.
Sleeps through the night with two, hour to hour and a half naps.
He can blow on his food.
He can drink through a straw.
He can go up stairs.
He can open and close doors.
He fake laughs and coughs.
He can click his tongue and is excellent at rolling it.
He holds his own bottle, sippy cup and cup (rarely with liquid).
He eats human food.
He is good at playing by himself and loves it when there are other kids to play with too.
He is the happiest kid in the supermarket.
The happiest kid in Sacrament meeting.
The happiest kid in the stroller.
Overall, a very happy and outgoing boy.
We are glad he’s ours!

Theodore had a birthday!
The Decorations
The Guests
The Cake
The Presents
A Safari Animal First Birthday Party. Grandma Hamman (my mom), EmaLee, Porter and Molly came and spent the weekend with us. We had a great time playing in the water at Bear Lake and decorating cupcakes (hahaha-that was stressful). Theodore’s birthday was on Sunday, so after church and a quick nap for the birthday boy, we had a great party. There is something about a one year old birthday party that is only wonderful if you are related to the kid. That said, Theodore’s party was wonderful. For a while we have been working on blowing, but when it came to the real candle, Theodore wanted to hold it instead of blow it out. He loved eating the cake. Theo didn’t really get the concept of opening presents, but he liked what he got inside. Theodore scooted away with so much loot. Six new outfits, blocks, a train, a dinosaur walker, camp chair, bike, stuffed animals, and a lounge chair. The best part of his day was the attention. He had an audience to perform for. My dad, Grandma, Jim, and Willie came over Sunday morning. Paul’s grandpa Juel came too. It was so much fun to celebrate Theodore’s first birthday with family!
August
August was a great month. We played at Bear Lake twice, I ran the 5k I trained for, visited with family, had family visit us, went on walks, Paul went to Kansas City, survived grain harvest, and we celebrated Theodore’s First Birthday! (that deserves it’s own post)
Playing at Bear Lake. We live an hour away. It is so much fun to play in the water. The best part of this little trip were the chocolate covered raspberries. mmmm.
The Caribou County Fair came to town. It is the biggest deal of the year in Grace. We looked at the exhibits and animals. Theodore was very confused in the animal barns. I don’t think he knew what was going on. At one of the booths a lady was taking pictures with props and then edited them for you. Couldn’t pass it up!
I spent most of my month cleaning up after Theo and his messes. He loves dirt and getting in small spaces. He can even get his own snack.
In August Theodore got three more teeth. First one in the middle on top and then the one next to the middle on the opposite side and then his other center tooth. He is all bottom teeth and will rarely let you see his upper teeth.
We spend a lot of time outside playing in the grass and swinging.
Theo and I went with a few friends to play in the water at Blackfoot Reservoir. It was nice to soak up the sun and play in the sand.
The major part of our summer has been spent in our garden. We have had a bounteous harvest. There has been cabbage, eggplant, zucchini, summer squash, winter squash, peas, beans, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, green peppers, and pumpkins. I even grew a double summer squash! It has been so enjoyable to go out to the garden and pick what is ripe. The tomatoes and peppers are just about ready so I will make some salsa. We have been eating peas since the middle of July, they keep coming. And our pumpkins rock. The plant has taken over the whole garden and there are probably about 15 pumpkins. I’ve been loving the garden. Oh, and we planted raspberries. We got a had full this year.
Birthday pictures to come!
