We Went to See the Wizard!

Because we live in Kansas.

We followed the yellow brick road.
To the Land of Oz. It was Oz-some.
We even turned into Munchkins.
(We need someone to follow us around and take pictures when we go places, either that or a tripod.)

It was fun, interesting, sometimes there aren't words to explain the experience.

You just have to check it out for yourself.

This all happens in a town called Liberal. This is not really where Dorothy lived. They just had a house that looked like the one in the movie, so the town moved it and now it is a museum. (I don't think they look alike and I forgot to take a picture to show you.) Dorothy is just generally from Kansas, for all I know she lived in Syracuse we have a stream, I mean river, here. We saw one of the six pairs of ruby slippers-they are worth a lot of money. Our tour guide dressed like Dorothy, I don't know if she can sing though. I forgot to ask. And I never recall watching the whole movie, so I checked it out from the library and still didn't watch it-I slept. We also went to the 5th Largest Air and Space Museum, Taco Bell, and Wal-Mart. It's how we get our kicks.

The Big 2-9

Paul had a birthday!

(This was also the day I decided a "2" and "9" candle are not as flammable as 29 candles.)

He celebrated by eating lunch at Porky's, going on a walk in the 80 degree weather, and playing Life.Paul got a huge book of Mad Libs (really funny!), some cash and MLB TV online. Now Paul can watch or listen to every single baseball game. Way better than watching play-by-play.

Paul's last year of his 20's-I think he's doing pretty good!

Bull Sale

Who doesn't want to start a party like this? What is it you might be wondering. It's a cherry fritter the size of a face, of course.

We had a great weekend visiting family. Last Wednesday we went to Longmont, CO and spent Thursday at my aunt's house. I went shopping and it was beautiful. Friday we drove to Star Valley, Wyoming which is where the party happens. We ate, talked, and played silly games like musical chairs, the limbo, and drunken sailor. I just want to say that I rock at the limbo. Oh yeah, everyone went bowling and Gen. 1 challenged Gen. 2 for the winning average score. Gen. 2 lost horribly, even with Paul's superior mathematical skills.

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Generation 3: This would be the offspring of the offspring. I think this photo catches some strong personality traits. Generation 2: The offspring.
Generation 1: The parents.

We came home on Sunday and Monday. Back to normal life-whatever that is!
