Winter...

Yesterday we went on a Sunday afternoon drive to Spring Valley Reservior. It is about twenty-five minutes away and is great for a relaxing day of fishing in the summer. Since the weather hasn't been that bad in Moscow, I thought the reservoir would back to it's liquid state. I was very wrong though. People were still out there ice fishing. I think it is quite picturesque. I suppose I came to the realization that maybe winter isn't that bad. I could handle another foot of snow!

P.S. I have already broken one of my New Year's Resolutions. I got my hair cut! It was needed though. My perm turned into a shaggy mess. Also, it is easier to straighten and the curl bounced back.

Fishy, fishy

I would like to introduce you to the newest members of our family. Fish one and fish two.

These cute little additions came to our home for Valentine's day. I wanted to get Paul something really cool and I did. These fish are Glofish. They are genetically modified to be bright colors. Usually they are brown. They dart back and forth in the bowl chasing each other (that is what we think, who really knows what is going on the mind of a fish?). Because of this, Paul decided to call them Tom and Jerry. I am not sure which is which, they just chase each other. I am always surprised by how cool fish are. I have spent a lot of time watching them swim back and forth. Very mesmerizing. Do you think they talk about the weather?

Happy Valentine's Day

Let me tell you a little bit about the love of my life. He is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. He does the dishes, and I don't even ask him. He is so smart. He can remember the best random facts about wars, politics, tv shows, you name it. His hands are nice and soft. Even when he works his hands are still soft. He will give me a back rub, when ever I ask, even in the morning when he is still asleep. He plays the guitar and sings. I think he does it just for me. He has the best sense of humor and can make me laugh even when I don't think I can. He is obviously the best husband in the world and I love him!
