World's Largest Ball of Twine

Have you seen this?

I have. Located in the thriving metropolis of Cawker City, Kansas.
As bad as you want to touch it, don't. Paul heard the graduating seniors have a tradition of peeing on it. Gross.

Kansas? Not your vacation destination? I don't really blame you. Paul went down there from June 22 to July 3 for wheat harvest. He had a good time working at the grain elevator, but is glad to be back in an air conditioned office. Kansas is hot and humid.

I did it!

The yard sale won. It was a quick decision, made Friday afternoon, but thanks to craigslist, some other websites, and my mad publisher skills it was a success. I was coming home Friday and noticed a few yard sale signs and decided to do it because of the added attention to yard sales. Saturday only from 8 to 1. Best part about it...

We got rid of a lot of stuff! And we no longer have a television.

Independence Day!

I hope your Independence Day is wonderful. Aren't you glad that we live in a country with many freedoms to enjoy. We are taking it easy today. Church in the a.m., afternoon naps, dinner with friends and then a fireworks show-Minneapolis style.
Happy 4th of July!
